The reliance on imported machinery means that the availability of precision cap ends and replacement parts is often inconsistent. This has created a critical need for high-durability castings that can operate with minimal maintenance in remote areas where technical support is scarce.
Currently, there is a shift toward adopting high-chromium alloys and reinforced ductile iron for every impeller on pump systems to combat the corrosive nature of local soil and water chemistry, aiming to extend the mean time between failures (MTBF).
